Destination
Las Vegas is a city that has ceaselessly re-invented itself since its birth over sixty years ago, when the first casino hotel was built along the desert-bound highway known as "The Strip." Today, The Strip encompasses a three-mile long, mile-wide swath of hotels, casinos, restaurants, and showrooms, creating a phenomenon that some have referred to as the greatest gathering of live entertainment on earth. Your home in Las Vegas will be the world-class Palazzo Resort at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino located in the very center of The Strip and only minutes away from most restaurants and entertainment. So if you are looking for how best to spend your free time in Las Vegas, but not certain where to go or what to do, relax! Your Align events team has compiled a list of some of the best entertainment, attractions, restaurants, and activities currently available, along with direct contact information so that you can book reservations where and when you like. These venues are all appropriate for individuals, couples, or team outings.
Dining Options
Las Vegas resort casinos are home to some of the world's most renowned chefs and amazing culinary experiences. The Palazzo has an excellent selection of restaurants, including CUT by Wolfgang Puck, RESTAURANT CHARLIE by Charlie Trotter, and SUSHISAMBA.
If you are looking for something outside of the hotel, try one these restaurant options, each trying to out dazzle the others in service, ambience, and cuisine:
AGO in the Hard Rock Hotel
Marking the tenth anniversary of his landmark Los Angeles eatery, restaurateur Agostino Sciandri, launches his first Las Vegas restaurant location. Ago’s authentic Tuscan-style Italian food attracts A-list clientele nightly and is a widely recognized favorite among dining enthusiasts. Pricing is moderately expensive.
PRIME in the Bellagio

Located lakeside with views of the fountains and lights, the ambience and the cuisine make this a most memorable experience! Pricing is expensive.
EIFFEL TOWER in Paris Las Vegas
Just above the Strip on the eleventh floor of the Paris Las Vegas’ Eiffel Tower replica, Chef J. Joho’s restaurant offers the city’s premier French cuisine, breathtaking views of the Las Vegas strip, and is regarded as the crown jewel in Paris Las Vegas’ collection of restaurants. Chef Joho has artfully updated a French classic menu. Highlights include a grand seafood platter with lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters and clams, lobster thermidor, and banana soufflé. Pricing is expensive.
STACK in the Mirage
Stack captures the essence of the American Bistro, with an ambience that feels both cutting-edge and intimate. Guests will savor an eclectic infusion of the very best in American dining. Pricing is moderately expensive.
- SOCIAL HOUSE in Treasure Island. Japanese, fun, hip with live DJ. Pricing is moderately expensive.
NOVE in The Palms. Authentic Italian with contemporary overtones. Pricing is moderately expensive.- FIX in Ballagio. Eclectic American menu in a modern atmosphere. Pricing is moderately expensive.
- DIEGO in MGM Grand. Traditional recipes hand-picked from the Mexican countryside create the foundation for Diego's bold menu. Great made-to-order guacamole. Pricing is moderate.
DANIEL BOULUD in The Wynn. The relaxed ambiance, warm, friendly service, and simple, sophisticated cooking confirm it: you are in Boulud´s French-American brasserie, a place where the old world blends vivaciously into the new. Pricing is expensive.
These are just a few of the many outstanding restaurants in Las Vegas. All are wonderful venues for group dining. For further information or to make reservations, please call the Palazzo Hotel-Casino-Resort Concierge Service at (702) 607-4300. Identify yourself as an Align Summit attendee. Reservations can generally be made up to 60 days in advance. Parties of 6 or more require a credit card to hold the reservation. There is generally a cancellation fee if the reservation is not cancelled by 4 p.m. on the reservation date; be aware of the restaurant's policy before providing your credit card.
Show Options
Not even London or New York can boast the number of acclaimed shows that run simultaneously in Las Vegas, whether musicals, impersonations, comedy, productions, standup, or anything else: Las Vegas is the Capital of Live Entertainment! More than 30 Broadway quality shows play nightly along The Strip.
JERSEY BOYS
The Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2006 at The Palazzo. Discover the secret of four blue-collar kids working their way from the streets of Newark to the heights of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
PHANTOM
The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian. The classic story of Phantom of the Opera with all the added flare of Las Vegas! If you haven't seen it, now is the time – don't miss it!
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL
A common thread runs through these productions: incredible talent and brilliant sets with tales woven between magic and reality. These shows must be seen to be believed and appreciated.
Mystere at Treasure Island
Mystere is about passion and mysticism – and about redefining what "circus" entertainment can signify.
Ka at MGM Grand
Ka uses acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial arts techniques from all over the world, plus innovations in puppetry and multimedia to tell the epic tale of twins on a perilous journey to fulfill their shared destiny.
Love at MirageCirque's Love celebrates the musical legacy of the Beatles.
Shopping
It's Fifth Avenue and Rodeo Drive together in the desert! Las Vegas has a glittering array of shopping possibilities, from the exclusive boutiques of world-class resorts to the upscale retail anchors of nearby Fashion Show Mall. A few of our favorites are:
Venetian/Palazzo, The Shoppes at The Palazzo: Anchored by Barneys New York.- Venetian, Grand Canal Shoppes: Dozens of upscale boutiques lining the pathways and canals of Venice.
- Caesars, Appian Way and The Forum: Over 120 stores surrounded by ancient Roman venues.
- Bellagio, Via Bellagio: From Armani to Yves Saint Laurent, Via Bellagio is an alphabet of legendary boutiques, possibly some of the best shopping in the world. The architecture and interior design alone are well worth the visit.
Fashion Show Mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd: Las Vegas' premier retail destination, Fashion Show offers seven flagship department stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's, Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's Home along with over 250 extraordinary shops and restaurants.
Activities
To walk or take a taxi? Walking is recommended if the destination is next door or across the street or perhaps one property away. We recommend transportation for most other excursions unless you are an avid walker. Because of the tremendous size of buildings along The Strip, none of them appear to be very far away. Don't be fooled! Other options include city buses and tram buses that operate along Las Vegas Boulevard, plus a monorail that operates behind the resorts on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard. Taxis are plentiful but even so you will probably encounter a wait during early evening rush. For a complete outline of Las Vegas transportation possibilities, please go to www.goingtovegas.com.
Las Vegas is more than The Strip. There are numerous golf courses within and around the city. Tennis is readily available. Horseback riding, sailing, gliding, and other activities round out the multi-faceted outdoor scene around Las Vegas. July highs are 95°F and lows are 75°F.
Some of the most popular activities are:
Grand Canyon Toroweap - $259 per person
This eleven hour tour will take you through the beautiful Mesquite, the rugged Virgin River Gorge and picturesque St. George, Utah, then across the historic Arizona Strip where you travel on America's treasured back country roads inaccessible to most. This activity includes hotel pickup and lunch.
Red Rock Canyon - $94 per person
This four-hour tour takes you and your office team on a jeep tour of rugged canyon country. Includes on and off road experiences through a section of canyon so colorful it is often used as backdrop for films and commercials. Includes hotel pickup, does not include lunch.
